Research of Distributed Cooperative Control Strategy for Fast Charging Stations with Flywheel Energy Storage System
Abstract
As for power grid both charging and discharging power of electric vehicles are high-power pulsed loads, and such loads may jeopardize the secure operation of power grid. A fast charging station with flywheel energy storage system (FESS) for electric vehicles was presented, and a distributed cooperative control strategy, in which the voltage information of DC-bus located at different equipments within the fast charging station was collected to balance with the power among grid-side converter, electric vehicle charger and FESS, was proposed. In the proposed control strategy a two-level control method was utilized and the two-level controller was based on voltage observer and the DC-bus voltage located at the equipments was continuously adjusted by dynamic consensus algorithm. To verify the proposed control strategy the real time simulation was performed with dSPACE, and simulation results show that the proposed control strategy is feasible.
