Multi-time Scale Coordination Control Strategy of Isolated Microgrid With Hybrid Energy Storage
Abstract
With the continuous improvement of the renewable energy penetration in the isolated microgrid, the prediction accuracy of renewable energy output have played more and more important role in the coordination control of the isolated microgrid. In addition, hybrid energy storage is introduced into the microgrid as a flexible and schedulable distributed resource, which can shift load and improve voltage quality. In the research of coordinated control of micro-grid, hybrid energy storage also has high adaptability in engineering. Therefore, this paper proposes a multi-time scale coordination control strategy for the isolated micro-grid with hybrid energy storage. The control strategy combines day-ahead optimization, intra-day rolling and real-time control to make decisions and continuous corrections on units’ scheduling plan, load switching plan and energy storage system control. This strategy can effectively mitigate the impact of prediction errors, thereby improve the stability and economy of the isolated microgrid operation with hybrid energy storage.
